I tried dozens and dozens of products this year. Most didn’t make the cut, but from makeup to skincare to home care products, I’m always on a mission to bring you the best of the best. I have very exciting new additions in mind for 2022, but here’s a list of my top 5 favorite products from 2021 that will definitely be staying in rotation.
It’s a difficult thing to explain, but it is right there in the name. My skin has never felt so soft after applying a foundation. This formula works with my skin, not against it. I typically have combination skin, with some days being dry and others slightly oily. No matter how my skin behaves, it always looks and feels its best with just a light once over with the Vapour Beauty Soft Focus Foundation. Its buildable formula also means that on the days I want a little more coverage, I can buildup the product without it ever getting cakey.
Anyone who has been shopping for makeup in the shop lately has heard me say that I am all about the cream-based products lately. It all started with the Vanilla Highlighter by Ere Perez. This creamy texture melts right into your skin, making this the easiest product ever to blend. This particular shade has a bronze undertone which makes it perfect for those who want a little glow with as few products as possible. It’s truly multi-purpose. Use it as a highlighter, bronzer, eyeliner, eyeshadow. You can’t go wrong. Seriously, I can’t say enough great things about it.
The Laundress has been a Shimmer staple since day one, but their newest scent release takes the cake! Their Signature Detergent is now made in two scents: Classic, a fresh laundry scent and Isle, where coastal waves meet the warmth of sandalwood. All I know is that every time I wash a load of laundry with this detergent, my entire basement fills up with this uplifting scent and it makes the task slightly more enjoyable!

This mascara truly checks all of my boxes. The wand is like magic! The tiny silicone bristles wiggle their way between every single eye lash, instantly making them appear fuller and longer. This budge-proof formula stays put all day and never smudges or flakes. Added bonus, ingredients like pea protein encourage lash growth and strengthening. I have tried a TON of mascara and this is by far my favorite.
A scalp scrub exfoliation treatment.
This pre-cleanse exfoliation treatment is formulated with Hawaiian Red salt, which is rich in volcanic clay and minerals. The product I never knew I needed! I was apprehensive at first, but became a die hard fan with the first use! Everyone else apparently did too, since we couldn’t even get our hands on this product for several months in 2021. With a restock coming in January 2022, I see this product being a top-seller next year as well.
