How to care for your hair while working out
Our friends and neighbors at Boutique Fitness recently started a new Spring Special that offers unlimited virtual workouts, weekly meal plans, yoga, downloadable content to keep you organized…all the goods you need to thrive during your fitness journey. This got us thinking about how we could help to make this task even a little bit easier!
When planning your next workout, I'm sure you're considering your work schedule, family life, meal schedule and any number of other things. One factor that usually goes overlooked until it's too late and then you're stuck working around it, is how to prep your hair for a workout and refresh it after. Here are a few things to keep in mind that'll keep your do looking fresh!
Use the right hair tie
Satin scrunchies are gentle on your hair and won't cause a crease. You can keep your hair off of your face and neck without worrying about pulling out any strands or ending up with dents.
Use a dry shampoo before your workout
This one may seem obvious, but oftentimes people assume they should only be using a dry shampoo at the start of their day and cannot reapply. Not true! Applying a dry shampoo before your workout will absorb oils as their form. The Refresh Dry shampoo by Innersense Organic Beauty saves us every time! Eliminate excess oil, build body, create texture and renew hair with this foam to powder dry shampoo. Tapioca starch and witch hazel pull oil. Certified Organic honey adds body and shine.
Twist or braid your hair before working out
A single twist, gently secured into a bun or loose braids will give your hair gorgeous texture after a workout! No fixing required!
Don't forget, the best thing you can do for your hair is prep and plan before the workout!
